The concert was dedicated in memory of Ros Kelk, a dearly loved 9am Choir member who recently departed. The two choirs also joined together to sing Lying Humbly on the Hay by Mark Nuttall and Star Carol by John Rutter. The Most Holy Redeemer Children's Choir, directed by Bernadette Maskell, then provided a delightful selection of Christmas pieces (sung in a different way!) including Christmas Calypso, We three kings and Little Donkey. The MHR Singers, directed by Kathy Underhill, sang a selection of their favourite carols pieces including All Bells in Paradise by John Rutter, In the bleak midwinter by Harold Darke and There is no rose by Andrew Wright. Sunday 8th December On the second Sunday Advent, The MHR Singers and The Most Holy Redeemer Children's Choir gave a lovely "Presentation of Their Favourite Carols" in the Church. To finish, the choir went outside to sing "Silent Night" before the Christmas lights were illuminated on the home's huge tree. It was another lovely occasion that included readings by choir members. Sunday 1st December On the first Sunday of Advent, the 9am Choir paid its annual visit to the Anisha Grange Care Home to sing Christmas carols to the residents.
